SET YOUR SPIRIT FREE AT THE CORK VISION CENTRE
Cork: JUNE 2007: The freedom of nature inspires the work of freelance wildlife photographer Sheena Jolley whose solo exhibition ‘Spirit of Freedom’ runs throughout June at the Cork Vision Centre.
‘Spirit of Freedom’ is a unique merger of art and photography with Jolley focusing on freezing the briefest of moments and capturing aspects of the natural environment in stunning detail. Jolley’s sharp eye enables her lens to encapsulate the colour and spirit of nature.
Jolley’s passion for marvelling at the charm and intrigue of nature shines through in the striking wildlife photography exhibited in ‘Spirit of Freedom’. Through a series of images, spanning several continents, ‘Spirit of Freedom’ encourages its audience to share in the artist’s passion and fascination.
According to Jolley this is the primary focus of her work.
“When people look at these photographs, I want them to feel, see and enjoy them. When people yearn for an inner peace and their instinct is to search for that which makes us smile and breathe more deeply, then I hope my images will delight the sight and mind, and encourage a feeling of wonder and nurture in the observer.”
‘Spirit of Freedom’ will be officially launched on Tuesday 5th June at 6pm in the Cork Vision Centre, North Main St. Cork. The Cork Vision Centre is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am – 5pm. Admission is free.
The Exhibition will be officially launched on Tuesday 5th June 2007 at 6pm, by John O' Donovan, Pictures Editor, Irish Examiner.
Opening to the public on Wednesday 6th June, the Exhibition will run until 28th June 2007.
