January 19th Cork: February at the Cork Vision centre sees the work of the students from Colaiste Stiofain Naofa take centre-stage.
Titled ‘Make It Happen’ the exhibition will feature works from a variety of media, from traditional art-forms of painting and drawing, to textiles, furniture making, animation and photography.
Curated by the 2006 AIB Art Prize Award winner.Linda Quinlan and Lee Welch, Make It Happen is an exhibition, with some-one for everyone. As well as the show itself, there will be an exciting programme of free events and activities on consecutive Saturdays in February (10th, 17th, 24th) These will consist of family programmes and workshops at the Centre from 1-3pm, followed by free gigs from 3-4pm by student bands from the Music, Management and Sound Department at CSN.
With music, and projects aimed for children and families featuring every Saturday, and with free admission, don’t miss a wonderful opportunity to see what the artists of tomorrow are producing today.
Make It Happen will be launched by Lee Welch on Tuesday 6th February at the Cork Vision Centre. Opening to the public on Wednesday 7th the exhibition will run until Tuesday 27th February.
