These images are a selection of the award winning entries in the IPPA/Royal & SunAlliance National Photographic Awards and Photographer of the Year Competition. There are approximately 4 judging sessions during the year and members are awarded Diamond – Gold – Silver and Bronze Crests in the categories of Portraits – Weddings – Commercial and General.
Most of these images were photographed during day to day assignments for clients and we are justly proud of this work of the members of the Irish Professional Photographers Association.

Vision Centre Hosts Photographic Awards
Cork: AUGUST 2007: August sees the Cork Vision Centre host an extensive selection of the award winning entries in the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) National Photographic Awards.
Sponsored by Royal & Sun Alliance, the annual IPPA Awards cover a variety of different categories, including Best Avant-Garde Portrait, Best Press and Public Relations Portfolio. Commercial and general photography are also featured categories. In addition, there is also an award for Best Newcomer.
Photographs by the Irish Professional Photographers Association and Royal & Sun Alliance Professional Photographer of the year 2007, will also be on display.
Most of the images on display were photographed during day to day assignments for clients and represent a wide cross section of the work of the members of the Irish Professional Photographers Association.
Irish Professional Photographers Association 2007 Awards exhibition will be officially launched on Thursday 2nd August at 6.00pm at the Cork Vision Centre by Wildlife Photographer Mike Brown.
Opening to the public on Friday 4th August, the Exhibition will run until the 30th August 2007. Cork Vision Centre is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am – 5pm. Admission is free.
