Vision Centre Hosts Photographic Awards
Cork: 19th July 2006: August sees the Cork Vision Centre host an extensive selection of the award winning entries in the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) National Photographic Awards.
Sponsored by Royal & Sun Alliance, the annual IPPA Awards cover a variety of different categories, including Best Avant-Garde Portrait, Best Press and PR Portfolio. There is also an award for Best Newcomer.
Photographs by Mark Nixon, the IPPA and Royal & Sun Alliance Professional Photographer of the year 2006, will also be on display.
Minister Michael Martin will officially launch the exhibition on Tuesday 1st August at 6.00pm at the Cork Vision Centre.
Opening to the public on Wednesday 2nd August, the Exhibition will run until the 30th August 2006.
