Restoration of St. Peter's Building

Cork Vision Centre @ St. Peter’s

The history of St. Peter’s Church stretches back to 1,270 when King Henry III granted patronage of the church to the Bishop of Cork. Deconsecrated in 1949, it was dilapidated until 1988 when Cork City Council restored it as a public cultural facility under the management of Cork civic Trust.

The Centre opened to the public on 1st July 1998.

Widely recognised as one of Cork’s foremost cultural visitor attractions, Cork Vision Centre @ St. Peter’s has won several national and international awards.
